Every piece passes through experienced hands—from the first cut to the final stitch. Patrick leads the workshop with the same uncompromising eye for detail that earned the business its name through word of mouth.
Our team restores well-loved furniture and builds new pieces from the frame up, combining proven traditional methods with clean, contemporary finishes.

Timber is cut and assembled for the shape and dimensions of the piece.

Support and cushioning are selected around comfort and use.

Fabric panels are cut and sewn, with attention to seams and pattern placement.

The covering is fitted and tensioned by hand.
The finished piece is checked before delivery is arranged.
Our in-house team works with timber-cutting equipment, upholstery tools and industrial sewing machines. Frame work, fabric preparation and upholstery happen in the same workshop, so the people making your piece can work through the details together.
We understand how the piece will be used, the space it belongs in and the finish you have in mind.
Frames, springs, foam and fabric are handled with care—never rushed, never hidden beneath the finish.
Every line, join and seam is checked before your piece leaves the workshop.
Every piece here can be resized, reshaped and made in the fabric of your choice. Don't see what you're after? Send us a picture.

From his grandmother’s yard in Belhar to a family-run workshop in Cape Town, Patrick has built his business through determination, a willingness to learn and pride in the work that carries his name.

At seventeen, Patrick knew he wanted to own a business. On 10 October 1986, at twenty-eight, he took that step, leaving behind the demands of working two jobs to build something of his own.
He began in his grandmother’s yard in Belhar. There was no workshop roof: he worked through sun and rain with limited resources and a determination to keep going.
His first customers were people in his local community who needed furniture reupholstered. Good work and reliable service brought recommendations, and his reputation grew one relationship at a time.
Patrick taught himself new skills as the business grew. Reupholstering existing pieces led to building frames from scratch, then mastering springs, foam, upholstery and finishing. He learned to take furniture from its first structural stages to the finished piece.
Today, he remains a working craftsman. He cuts materials, guides production and trains employees in the workshop. Passing on that practical knowledge helps the team carry forward the standards he has spent decades developing.
Patrick’s wife manages the bookkeeping. His brothers have worked in the business, and his children have been involved over the years. Their support is part of the story behind every chapter of its growth.
Christian faith is central to Patrick and his wife’s lives. They attribute the business to God’s grace. Patrick’s involvement in his church and charitable work reflects the importance he places on giving back.
Patrick’s reputation began with the quality of his work and the people who recommended it. His continued presence in the workshop keeps that personal commitment to workmanship at the heart of the business.
Bring your piece to a workshop shaped by forty years of hands-on experience.
